On Thursday, January 4, 2018, K-pop star Bang Bang Taeyang and Korean actress Min Hyo Rin announced their wedding plans through a joint statement by their management companies, and the celebration is coming up very soon.
Taeyang, 30, and Rin, 32, will wed in a small church ceremony on February 3rd, in front of family and close friends, followed by a slightly larger reception at Paradise City Resort in Incheon, a coastal city jusy west of Seoul, South Korea.
“Both the church ceremony and the wedding reception will be held in private, so please understand with open hearts,” the statement read, adding that the stars’ busy schedules mean the newlyweds won’t have time for a honeymoon.
In December, Taeyang posted a selfie with his actress love to officially announce his engagement to his fans. “I want to share with you guys about the most important and joyful promise I have made in my life. I have pledged to spend the rest of my life with Min Hyorin, the one who has always stuck by me for the past four years. Through all the good times and the bad times, she has always believed in me and now I look forward to making a beautiful life together.
“To all the fans who always treated me as if I was family, to all of my Big Bang members, to all of my YG family, to everyone I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with and meet, I want to say THANK YOU. I will continue to live my life with responsibility and humility. My hope is that you will continue to support us and give your blessings for our future ahead as a couple.”
The couple met when she appeared in Taeyang’s “1 AM” music video in the summer of 2014, confirming publicly that they were dating in June 2015. This will be the first marriage for both.
