While we were only just debating what could be true about the swirling Pippa Middleton Wedding rumours, Kensington Palace has come through with at least some answers. Yes, George and Charlotte will have roles in the wedding, set for Saturday, March 20th at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, which all but assures there will be photographs released, but not sold to a glossy magazine. St. Mark’s resident Rev. Nick Wynne-Jones will officiate.
Sister Kate’s official role, if any, has not been confirmed, nor denied, with sources claiming she would be loathe to outshine Pippa on her wedding day. Prince William and Prince Harry will attend the ceremony, but the Palace made no mention of whether Harry would bring a plus-one. It seems unlikely, however, as Markle recently returned to her home base in Toronto to begin shooting the next season of her TV drama Suits.
Two Bachelor-Nation couples, that have recently put a ring on it, have spoken out about their very different approaches to planning their respective weddings.
Former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and her Final Rose, fiance Jordan Rodgers, are in no rush to walk down the aisle. Fletcher recently told AOL that she and Rodgers, who were engaged last August, recently moved in together in Dallas, Texas, but she’s focused on finding the right balance with her new love, not walking down the aisle.
“I don’t think that I ever felt pressure to get married, but I think that right when we got engaged, we had said, like, ‘We’re going to get married next year,’ because I think that excitement was just so intense, and we were just ready,” she said. “But, after we settled into life, we were like, ‘This is a good time to just enjoy being together and to enjoy that courtship that comes along with being engaged. There isn’t any rush. I don’t think we had even met a year ago. … We’re still getting to know each other, but I think about [getting married]. It’s exciting, but it’s not something that you just do because you’re excited.”
Meanwhile, Bachelor in Paradise lovebirds Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, engaged last year, are planning to walk down the aisle before this year is out.
“We are so close to setting a wedding date,” Waddell told E! recently. “I think we’re going to have a wedding date in like two weeks. We’re very close to having that nailed down. It’s going to be this year. Everything’s a possibility!”
When they wed, Waddell will become stepmother to Bass’ three sons from a previous relationship, and the couple makes no secret of their hopes to some day welcome a little girl.
Actress/dancer Julianne Hough is preparing for a wedding “pretty soon” with her professional hockey player fiance, Brooks Laich. They were engaged in August 2015 after a year and a half of dating, and while the exact details of her wedding day are being kept under wraps for now, the excited bride-to-be has let slip some insight into her planning process along the way.
Considering herself “the luckiest girl in the world,” Hough and her fiance are planning to showcase a choreographed dance – despite her Dancing With the Stars pedigree, it was his idea. The wedding will be for family and close friends only, but will still be on the large size because they both come from fairly big families.
She’s adamant that her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Lexi and Harley, will have roles in the wedding, and it’s possible her close friend, actress Nina Dobrev, could have a role, too. (The former Vampire Diaries star documented Hough’s Mexico bachelorette weekend on Instagram Stories in March.)
She’s also said she’s not above trying to call in a favour from another celeb pal, Selena Gomez, who has recently collaborated with Hough’s dream wedding entertainer, Norwegian superstar DJ Kygo.
Pro dancer Casey Madison, captain of the Houston Rockets Power Dancers, received the surprise of a lifetime at a Rockets basketball game over the weekend. Convinced to participate in team mascot Clutch’s halftime routine, she was blindfolded and told that Clutch was going to leap over her to dunk a basket.
Instead, Clutch brought out a surprise visitor – Casey’s boyfriend Travis Ross, a US Air Force pilot. When Casey’s blindfold was removed, the boyfriend she had no idea had returned home was on bended knee in front of her.
Shocked enough to fall backwards into Clutch’s safety mat, she tearfully accepted in front of thousands of hometown fans – and millions more online when the video went viral.
