She finished fifth in 2012’s Survivor: One World, but on Saturday, January 14, 2017, Alicia Rosa was the center of attention, marrying attorney Mark Waller at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico.

Rosa, 30, a pharmaceutical sales rep, celebrated a ceremony and reception that, she told People, went off without a hitch. Fellow Survivor alums Nina Acosta, Matt Quinlan, and winners Kim Spradlin Wolfe and Aras Baskauskas were in attendance, and Spradlin Wolfe told the magazine, “If you watched our season of Survivor, you may remember Alicia as a villain, but nothing could be further from the truth. There wasn’t a dry eye on the beach as she and Mark exchanged vows. It is so evident how much they adore and cherish each other.”

Rosa said she had trouble searching for the perfect dress, twice ordering gowns from a bridal shop that failed to deliver. Two weeks before the wedding, she found a wedding dress, on the clearance rack, at Bowties Bridal in Las Vegas. Ripping out the inside lining with a stylist, she altered the dress to give it a tattoo-lace feel, and accessorized with a translucent cape-veil with her hair down. “She looked stunning as usual,” said Spradlin Wolfe. Waller wore a tan suit with dark tie.

At the reception, the couple served a red velvet wedding cake covered in white fondant, with cream cheese filling, explaining, “People don’t always eat cake [at weddings], but if you keep it simple, they will — and they sure did at the wedding!” Their wedding teaser video was released by Delux Weddings and Film Agency, and features striking wedding images set to “Storm” by Ruelle.
